There’s a $50 rebate on the DeLorme PN-20 and PN-40 (PDF), the latter being the hottest handheld of the holiday season. It’s valid on purchases made between November 21 and December 31, 2008. See the rebate form for more details.

UPDATE: DeLorme has given me new information, saying the rebate is not available at online merchants who are offering instant rebates. The official list of vendors honoring the rebate and the rebate form itself are available at http://www.delorme.com/pnrebate/

    I was stoked about being able to get a PN-40 for $289 after rebate from Amazon, but apparently the $50 rebate is only good at brick and mortar stores listed in this post on the DeLorme forum:

    They specifically mentioned purchases from Amazon and TigerGPS not being eligible for the rebate.

    My info comes from DeLorme. Sounds like they aren’t talking to each other.
