The good folks at DeLorme have been busy as elves, getting all sorts of deals set up for you holiday shoppers.   Their PN series are great handhelds that can display aerial imagery and USGS topo maps, and handle paperless caching to boot. The PN-40 even adds a tri-axial electronic compass. These units have developed quite the following and deservedly so.

    Thanks HD. The date and price came from their Gold Box RSS feed. I’m going to post a complaint on their Associates forum. This has happened twice in the past two days.

    Yeah, I just bought my husbands christmas gift on Amazon, the delorme is at 199.99 . i couldnt believe it!!

    forgot to specify, it was the delorme 40 on sale, the 30 is 179 also, i think.
