EDIT: They also have the Garmin Dakota 10 for $239.99

UPDATE: Still available on their site as of 6 a.m., Dec. 2, so I’m leaving it up.

EMS has the touch screen Garmin Dakota 20 for $279.99, a rare deal on this newest Garmin handheld.

There’s no formal expiration date, so we don’t know how long the deal will last. If you see that it’s gone, please drop a comment below.

I LOVE this unit and would gladly trade my Oregon 400t for the improved visibility. Here’s a snippet from my Garmin Dakota 20 review:

The Garmin Dakota 20 is a smaller version of Garmin’s successful Oregon models. It appears poised to replace the eTrex series, bringing all of the Oregon’s touch screen goodness while retaining the eTrex’s small form factor, light weight and long battery life.

    It’s gone. No longer $279 – now $349 again.
