Amazing GPS sale at REI.com thru December 1
You missed it!
Here are some current GPS deals:
This one surprised me. REI isn’t typically known for discounting products, but they’ve got some great GPS deals from Nov. 21 to Dec. 1. And by the way, shipping is $4.99 for members and everything carries REI’s ironclad guarantee. On to the deals. The first six in particular are amazing. All Amazon comparison prices are as of 11/19.
- Garmin nuvi 500 GPS – $299.99. A “crossover unit” that does double duty on the road or on the trail. I wasn’t that impressed when I tried it, but there have been some firmware updates to improve it since then. This unit was $386 when I checked it at Amazon. (Review)
- Garmin nuvi 255 Personal Travel Assistant – $174.99. A text-to-speech unit in the nuvi series that I called “the best entry level GPS on the market.” $199 at Amazon when I checked. (Review)
- Garmin Forerunner 50 – $63.99. A non-GPS heart rate monitor. $82 at Amazon.
- Garmin Forerunner 305 – $199.99. Great for runners. $278 at Amazon. (Review)
- TomTom ONE 125 – $99.99. $162 at Amazon. A stripped down version of the TomTom ONE 130 (see below). I would expect no more than 2-3 million points of interest (POIs).
- TomTom Go 730 GPS Receiver – $349.99. TomTom’s next to the top of the line unit; with voice entry. $278 at Amazon. (Review)
- TomTom ONE 130 GPS Receiver – $149.99. TomTom’s newest entry-level GPS. Same price at Amazon. (Review)
- TomTom ONE 130-S GPS Receiver – $199.99. Adds text-to-speech. Same price at Amazon. (Review)
- TomTom XL 330 GPS Receiver – $199.99. Bumps the screen size to 4.3″ No text to speech. Same price at Amazon. (Review)
- TomTom XL 330 -S GPS Receiver – $249.99. Text-to-speech and 4.3″ wide screen. Same price at Amazon. (Review)
